Riverside Theater Works
Hyde Park, MA 2136
This location used to be French's Opera House and is believed to be haunted by Esmeralda, who died here during a fire. Also known as "Essie," she is said to haunt the children who perform in plays, and has even been seen floating above the stage. Flowers are placed in a purple chair before performances, the location where Essie died. But it is said that if the flowers aren’t in full bloom, Essie will play tricks with the lights during the performance.

On stage, everything was going well until the soundtrack started going in and out, louder and then quieter. Everything with tech was going wrong, and everyone was very confused. After the song, I went backstage. There, I heard that Esmeralda had messed with the sound, and that the staff is quickly changing the nutcracker on the balcony to flowers. Another kid said that it was probably just someone new, and that they were figuring out how to work the stuff. But, who knows...
