Route 44 in Rehoboth - Rehoboth MA Real Haunt

   
The red-headed hitchhiker is the ghost that is believed to haunt Route 44 in Rehoboth. Drivers have reported seeing a redheaded man wearing jeans and a flannel shirt. His ghost is known to eerily smile at people in the cars passing by. The road's ghost was popularized in the book, "The New England Ghost Files" by Charles Turek Robinson. So, if you're driving down Route 44 and spot a hitchhiker, we advise you not to stop and pick him up!
