This building dates back to 1834 and is believed to be haunted by spirits and apparitions who throw glasses off the shelves. The portraits have reportedly watched employees and guests as they go about their business, and doors have opened and closed on their own. One spirit here is believed to be a “drunkard” named Burt Philips, who may have died here in the 1890s. Others, according to a psychic who visited in the 1980s, may include a chambermaid named Sadie and original owner John Stone himself, said to have communicated with ghost hunters by inhabiting one of their bodies.

My plate kept sliding

Went to the 2nd floor with some friends one night. My plate kept sliding towards the edge of the table. Could have been uneven floors, as the place is old. Or the table could have been wobbly - hard to tell. Always great food though.
